Last week the Herald and News continued to spread its progressive, liberal filth on the innocent in Klamath County. I've attached a clipping of the article in found in View Points (page 1, page 2). It only requires reading the first paragraph to understand that the person (or group) who wrote this article either lives in an alternative universe or can not let the facts get in the way of their ideology.
“Anyone who attended the inaugural Klamath County Crystal Apple Awards ceremonies Tuesday night for teachers and school staff were surely impressed with the caliber of educators in this county.”
Now wait a moment. Is this the same group of fine educators that produces a 73% graduation rate in the County Schools and a 57% rate in the City Schools? Combined the two districts spend $100,000,000.00 each year to educate our children and 1 out of 3 do not receive a diploma. Moreover of those that do graduate many are not proficient at math or reading. That said, we can be certain that all of them know how to place a condom on a banana and where at their school they can score some funny weed. What's more these students are well versed in the pilgrims bigoted lifestyle, the awful sins of Washington and Jefferson for owning slaves and how much a debt our society owes to the native tribes who were here before us (we're sorry we stole your land, how can we make this up to you?).
Now lest you think I am against our teachers, you misinterpret and twist my words. It is not the teachers who are failing the students. It is the public school system. The system ties our local public schools directly to Salem. And it is the public unions and Democrats who control Salem. If you don't think so, tell me who was the most recent Republican to occupy the governor's mansion? (answer at the bottom of this article). Democrats, socialists and leftist all stew in the same pot. While the majority of Klamath County residents believe the purpose of education is to teach knowledge within the confines of wisdom and morality, the left believes public education is primarily a tool for social and cultural reform to be achieved by the remaking of human nature. In order to remake human nature the public schools must undo any notion of traditional family and morality that comes from a religious foundation. Instead this must be replaced with creating victim groups, breaking down traditional morality and family and building up the government as the only just arbiter to fix all social ills that result.
Therefore it is not difficult to see that the left controls education. This is their system, and the left must maintain control in order to complete their mission. This is why every leftist group in the county is in full support of ballot measure 18-91 passing. More money to government always means more control to government. While the left nods to caring for children their real goal is to dumb down society through an education system that teaches feeling and not thinking. It is not important what one thinks about something, it is important how one feels. Poor people must feel they are victims of circumstance or someone else's actions and not think about poor choices they may have made along life's journey. Wealthy people must learn to feel guilty for having more money than others who have little. As a society we must learn to feel it is unfair for two gay men to be allowed to enjoy the bliss of holy matrimony. The leftist educational system creates feeling zombies who remain emotional children with no responsibility for themselves and only demand the government take care of them. The religious right white zealots of 1776 created a system that was unfair and unjust. Only when the left can fundamentally transform it, will all people have a fair shot. So if the left needs to take away your guns to keep you safe, increase taxation for their latest noble cause (school buildings) and restrict your ability to express an opinion in public through intimidation, lies and slander (notice how anyone is afraid to stand against the public school system), so be it. In the end the left will fix all through a powerful, noble and just government — run by them.
This plan was laid out well before most of us were alive, although these are not American ideas, they are Humanist and Marxist ones. If you don't believe me, here are a few quotes below to help shed some light on how the left has been working their plan into public schools for the past 100 years:
“Socialism is precisely the religion that must overwhelm Christianity … Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society …”
—Antonio Gramsci, 1915
“Education is thus a most powerful ally of humanism, and every American public school is a school of humanism. What can the theistic Sunday schools, meeting for an hour once a week, teaching only a fraction of the children, do to stem the tide of a five-day program of humanistic teaching?”
—C.F. Potter, 1930
For those of you unfamiliar with Antonio Gramsci, his wikipedia entry states, “Gramsci was one of the most important Marxist thinkers in the 20th century.” And for C.F. Potter, he is remembered as an “American educator and humanist who, with John Dewey, profoundly influenced the delivery of education in the early part of this century, helping to define child-centred approaches to humanist instruction that continue to be evident in public schools.”
So let the school districts praise their teachers all they want. The facts are the system these teachers work within is a failing system — which in turn is failing our children. No rational, thinking person can claim the public school system works and should continue as is. By its own grading system graduating only two out of three students is a “D”. But fear not. The public school system evangelists are out in force asking you to feel — not to think — by voting "Yes for Schools". Sounds like another "Yes" slogan we have heard before, "Yes we can!" As I recall feeling good about that election has not turned out well for the economy or the country. A Yes vote for schools is a vote to continue the same system that fails child after child. We either stand against this gross mismanagement or we deserve what we get. A broken educational system can only produce broken children.
If you truly care for the children, then you will not give the district any more money until they first fix their broken system that they created. The other alternative is to tear down the current system by sending education dollars to parents, not directly to the public schools. Then allow parents to choose and pay for the schools of their choice. Let private schools, charter schools, and home schools compete head on with public ones. Soon Klamath County will have the best graduation rates and best educated children in the state. I guarantee it.
